About ME
My name is Emmi, I am a Brummie, although my accent seems to be turning into a weird mix of East Staffordshire, thanks to living in Burton Upon Trent for the last 5 years.
I am a 90's baby and forever an Emo kid. One of those crafty girlies that has to be dragged out of Hobbycraft by her hair.
My partner and I are navigating our 30's with my two-step boys who are growing way too quickly. I am a Pescatarian foodie; we love cooking from scratch.
Anyone that comes over is given a tour of the garden and must pretend to be impressed by my homegrown produce. I love animals of all kinds and will comfortably have a little chat with wildlife.
Growing up in the city, I now adore the slow life, greenery and being outside.
I think it's so important to appreciate the small glimmers life brings. In this crazy world we have to find joy where we can and being silly can really help with that.
I will always enable you to get that little treat! As you definitely deserve it!
My why
Creativity and using my imagination have been my comfort blanket my entire life. I was never the clever one, or the sporty one. Making things and drawing was something that made me feel good, that helped me express myself. I had such a drive to learn, when learning felt difficult in other areas of my life. I studied Graphic Design but soon, I was told to get a 'realistic job'. I did as I was told but the fascination with storytelling, small business and creating worlds just got louder.
When I built my bakery business, as much as I loved it, I neglected my art and slowly it started to shout, "why have you left me!"
One day I stopped ignoring it, I started creating art again to switch off, just for the love of creating, then it clicked. It wasn't the finished product that made me feel good it was the process, the experimenting, the thinking outside of the box. As well as the wonderful likeminded souls I met along my business journey. That was where the joy was.
I believe creativity is accessible to everyone and can be a game changer for our wellbeing. I believe our brands should have a soul and be extensions of ourselves. That's where the magic happens.

Doing things just for the purpose of making ourselves happy is not a reward. It is what makes life beautiful.
Yes we have to work, yes we have responsibilities but our inner child deserves love and attention too.
They are who we actually are underneath all the adulting.
Being silly, bringing joy into our lives through tiny acts of fun. finding love in old hobbies and new. Making things with our hands away from a screen. These are all things we can do for ourselves to create space to heal, grow and find balance.

we are going through this with you, learning to be okay with making mistakes. Shaking off procrastination and perfectionism.
Delving into creativity sometimes feels alien or uncomfortable to start. We are going to push through that together as a collective. Lean into play and explore so we can take it with us into our every day lives and busniesses.
Who knows what is around the corner if we let ourselves try new things. We are each others accountability, support system and biggest cheerleaders.
